Back in action, Mr. Salvitti made a return to fulfill new opportunities and goals. Students and staff welcomed him.
“The other teachers and staff have made me feel at home since my first day back this year, and of course the students here at JBHS are great. It’s cool to see how students that I had in middle school have grown up and matured into young adults ready to take on the world when they graduate,” Salvitti said.
He teaches complex classes like 3D Design, Programming, Digital Electronics, and Robotics. New advancements in technology allowed Mr. Salvitti to use CNC routers, electronic microcontrollers, and laser engravers.
“I want to learn more about newer technologies that weren’t as prevalent or accessable when I went to college, like how to use Artificial Intelligence, the Internet of Things, and machine learning. Then I want to offer an elective to teach students about these new technologies and see what kinds of awesome projects we can build,” Salvitti said.
Being a class advisor with Mrs. Quinby, with goals to make the class of 2027 the best class that has ever attended JBHS,” Mr. Salvitti encourages students to take his classes.
“Study Halls are boring. Get out and learn something new,” Salvitti said.
