Let’s Run

District Bound, the boys cross country team along with Elizabeth Cooper(12), Kimber Yeager(10), Kenya Peckman(12), and Grace Meals (10) all qualified for the Double A district three race by running in the Mid Penn championship on Saturday, October 14th.

Despite the tough terrain and dreary weather, many of the runners managed to get a PR.

“I felt really good and proud after I got a PR because I worked really hard this season,“ Peckman said.

After doing so well last Saturday many of the runners made new goals for the District race.

“I will run fast, to make it to states,” Tristan Hall(11) said.

The team will be competing at Big Spring high school, Saturday, October 28th. Tickets are available through the Hometown Ticketing Fan app.

Kimber Yeager
Kimber Yeager, Editor
written by Brody Crone With lots of interest in publication, Kimber Yeager brought a very positive attitude to the Yearbook staff. Not only did she display a bubbly personality in Yearbook, she also participated in cross country, track and field, and basketball. Although she favored cross country, she did not enjoy all the running. Yeager said she liked the rewarding feeling "at the end of the meet when you feel like you’ve accomplished something.”  After she competed in her games at school, Yeager spent her free time reading and playing basketball with her siblings at home. Even though they are “really loud” during their competition, Yeager said. As well, she loved spending time with her family, because they’re very important to her. Yeager values her family extremely high, because they’ve been with her for her entire life, and they’re always there for her. Yeager chose to take all advanced classes this year, as she wants to prepare for college. Her education is crucial to her, and she wishes to advance it through higher education after high school. She is currently uncertain about what she wants to pursue, but she is considering law or publication. Although her concrete ideas concerning her future are up in the air at the moment, she exhibits an abundance of optimism and determination.
