FRANKLIN COUNTY, Pa. — Emergency crews responded to a serious overnight crash in Franklin County that left a driver trapped inside their overturned vehicle.
According to the Franklin Fire Company, the incident occurred around 12:30 a.m. on the 4700 block of Fort McCord Road. The vehicle reportedly lost control, rolled over, and landed in a ditch—leaving the driver pinned inside.
Rescue teams quickly arrived at the scene and launched a delicate extrication operation. Firefighters had to cut open the vehicle’s roof to safely free the trapped driver. The entire rescue process took about 13 minutes.
The driver was successfully removed and transported by EMS for medical treatment. The extent of their injuries has not been released.
Authorities are continuing to investigate the cause of the crash.
