Police in Franklin County have charged a 17-year-old boy, Blaze Dickson, as an adult in connection with a shooting that took place in Chambersburg on April 20, 2025. Dickson has been charged with two counts of criminal attempted homicide, two counts of aggravated assault, two counts of recklessly endangering another person, rioting, and possession of a firearm by a minor.
According to Chambersburg Police, the shooting occurred around 7:52 p.m. near the intersection of West Washington Street and Larch Avenue. Investigators say Dickson fired shots at two people, though it remains unclear whether anyone was injured in the incident.
On Wednesday, May 7, 2025, authorities arrested Dickson at a residence on the 600 block of Heintzelman Avenue. He was taken into custody by both Chambersburg Police and Pennsylvania State Police.
Magisterial District Judge Glenn K. Manns denied Dickson bail, and he is currently incarcerated at Franklin County Prison.
