A 14-year-old boy from Harrisburg is facing multiple criminal charges after allegedly stealing a vehicle and leading police on a high-speed chase through Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, on May 6.
According to the Mount Joy Borough Police Department, officers were alerted to reports of a reckless driver. The suspect, an unlicensed juvenile, had reportedly taken a vehicle without permission and was seen speeding dangerously through local streets.
During the police pursuit, the teen allegedly veered onto a sidewalk crowded with pedestrians, narrowly missing several people. Authorities say he also drove into oncoming traffic and ran a stop sign, creating a serious risk to public safety.
Officers were eventually able to bring the chase to an end and arrested the teen without injury. He is now facing charges including Fleeing or Attempting to Elude Officers, along with six other related offenses.
Fortunately, no injuries were reported. The investigation into the incident remains ongoing.
