The written exam is scheduled for Tuesday, May 20, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. at the Borough offices, located at 60 North Washington Street, Greencastle, PA 17225.
Eligibility Requirements for Applicants
Applicants must meet several key qualifications to be eligible for this position:
- Must be 21 years old or older at the time of application.
- Must have a high school diploma or G.E.D..
- Must be physically and mentally fit for police officer duties.
- Must possess a valid Pennsylvania driver’s license.
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, preference will be given to applicants who have completed the Municipal Police Officers’ Education and Training Commission Certified Basic Police Academy (Act 120). However, non-certified applicants are welcome to apply if they are willing to attend the academy.

All applications must be submitted by Thursday, May 15, 2025, no later than 4:00 p.m. The application fee for the exam is $35.00, payable by check to the Borough of Greencastle.
