Big Lots! is making a major comeback in Pennsylvania this month, with 13 store locations reopening their doors to customers.
The national discount retail chain, based in Columbus, Ohio, had previously closed all its stores. However, the brand is returning to communities across the U.S. thanks to a major acquisition by Variety Wholesalers, which purchased more than 200 former Big Lots! locations.
In April, the first nine reopened stores welcomed back shoppers. Now, Big Lots! is continuing its relaunch with over 100 additional openings nationwide in May—including 13 stores right here in Pennsylvania.
Three Pennsylvania locations—in Dunmore, Eynon, and Lewisburg—reopened on May 2. The remaining 10 stores are scheduled to reopen on May 15.

- 866 Scranton Carbondale Highway, Eynon
- 697 Allegheny Blvd., Franklin
- 1241 Blakeslee Boulevard Drive East, Lehighton
- 7405 Westbranch Highway, Lewisburg
- 820 Water St., Meadville
- 2611 Ellwood Road, New Castle
Shoppers can expect to find a wide selection of furniture, home goods, pantry items, and seasonal merchandise—all at affordable prices. The return of Big Lots! brings both shopping convenience and local job opportunities to communities across the state.
