Raiders and Kolton Miller Agree to Three-Year, $66 Million Extension

The Las Vegas Raiders have secured a key piece of their offensive line for the long term, announcing Wednesday that they have agreed to a contract extension with left tackle Kolton Miller.

The deal is reportedly worth $66 million over three years, with $42.5 million guaranteed. Miller, the longest-tenured Raider, was entering the final year of his previous contract, but now he is locked in through the 2028 season.

A Long-Term Commitment to Miller

Miller, 29, was originally drafted by the Raiders as a first-round pick in 2018 and previously signed a three-year, $54 million extension in 2021. His new deal not only secures his future with the team but also makes him one of the highest-paid tackles in the NFL.

He was set to make $15.7 million this season under his old contract, but this new deal reflects the Raiders’ confidence in Miller’s ability to anchor their offensive line for years to come.

With this extension, Miller is set to remain with the Raiders for a decade, as the new contract will take him through the 2028 season. Miller has started all 17 games for the Raiders in each of the past two seasons, and with 107 career starts since 2018, he ranks 10th in the NFL among offensive linemen and fifth among tackles.

His durability and consistency make him a crucial component of the Raiders’ line, and he has missed just seven games throughout his career.

Optimism for the Future Under New Head Coach Pete Carroll

This year, Miller will be playing under new head coach Pete Carroll, who was brought in after the Raiders’ disappointing 4-13 season last year. Carroll, who spent 13 years with the Seattle Seahawks, brings a wealth of experience to the team, and Miller has expressed optimism about the changes under his leadership.

The veteran tackle said last month, during contract negotiations, that he hoped to be a “Raider for life,” and now it appears his wish has been granted.

Kolton Miller’s new three-year, $66 million extension solidifies his place as a cornerstone of the Raiders’ offense. With his impressive durability and consistent performance, Miller will continue to protect the quarterback’s blindside, providing stability to the offensive line as the Raiders look to bounce back under Pete Carroll’s guidance.
