Paragould, Arkansas – A 43-year-old high school science teacher, Stephanie Woods, has been arrested after allegedly stabbing her 37-year-old boyfriend in the neck during a domestic argument.

The incident occurred on Monday morning, around 4:30 a.m., at the couple’s home in Paragould, Arkansas. According to a report from KAIT, the argument between Woods and her boyfriend escalated after a conversation about Woods talking to other men, which made her boyfriend angry.
Paragould Police Officer Keaton Massey, who responded to the call, stated that Woods stabbed her boyfriend in the neck using a stud earring. The earring broke off during the attack and got lodged in the man’s neck, just below his ear.
Victim’s Refusal for Medical Help
The victim, despite his injury, refused medical treatment and explained that the altercation began over Woods’ conversations about other men. He reportedly did not seek immediate care, but the situation quickly drew police attention.
Woods’ Statement
When questioned by authorities, Woods reportedly admitted to attempting to force the earring into her boyfriend’s mouth during the argument. However, she did not mention stabbing him intentionally in her statement.
Arrest and Legal Action
Woods was arrested at the scene on charges of domestic battery. She was subsequently booked into the Greene County Detention Center and released later that evening after posting a $5,000 bond.
Woods is listed as a science teacher at Greene County Tech High School, also located in Paragould.
