Miami-Dade County, FLVictor Colon, 62, was arrested more than a year after he allegedly pointed a gun at a victim’s head and pulled the trigger, moments after taking the bullet out of the chamber. Colon faces armed robbery charges in connection with the incident that took place on December 14, 2023.

The Incident

According to a probable cause arrest affidavit, Victor Colon allegedly burst into the victim’s room while he was playing video games at his mother’s house. The victim began recording the incident on his phone and attempted to escape, but Colon grabbed his shirt to stop him.

Colon then allegedly pulled out a gun, snatched the victim’s phone, and pressed the firearm to the victim’s head.

Colon reportedly said, “I should kill you” and then unloaded the gun before putting it back to the victim’s head and pulling the trigger. He allegedly also said, “I should bury you in the back with the rest of them.”

Colon then asked the victim’s mother if he should shoot her son, to which she responded, “No.” Colon then began slapping the victim in the face, according to the complaint.

Victim’s Escape

The victim was able to run out of the house when Colon briefly left to use the bathroom, according to the police report.

Arrest and Charges

The incident was reported to authorities three days later by the victim and his father. Colon, a friend of the victim’s mother, was arrested over a year later, but it is unclear what led to his delayed arrest. As of Thursday afternoon, Colon remained in Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center without bond.
