Cincinnati, OH — Federal authorities have arrested an Ohio man, Anthony Kelly, who is accused of making violent threats against Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents.
Kelly, from Cincinnati, allegedly posted threatening messages on social media, saying that he would “shoot” and “kill” federal agents and officials, referring to them with derogatory and dangerous terms.
Violent Threats and Social Media Posts
Tricia McLaughlin, assistant secretary for public affairs at the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), confirmed Kelly’s arrest and the investigation into his threats. The arrest followed an examination of posts made by Kelly on BlueSky, a social media platform.
In one post, Kelly responded to a Fox News interview with Border Czar Tom Homan, where he allegedly wrote, “Thanks for giving We The People permission to shoot your #Gestapedos #TomHoman.”
In another post targeting Kristi Noem, Kelly wrote, “The shotgun is being bought later on this week #KristiNoem … how many of your pathetic #Gestapedos want the smoke? You’re also invited b—.”
These posts were followed by messages threatening violence against the ICE agents, where Kelly allegedly stated, “You come for me, you’re getting shot.
And I’m not looking to disable your pedo asses. I’m shooting for the kill. I don’t give a f— about your names, who you are, or anything else. You will be shot. You will be killed. End of story.”
Authorities Take Action
DHS agents searched Kelly’s home after his arrest and found a handgun and ammunition, confirming the seriousness of the threats. McLaughlin emphasized that such threats are unacceptable, stating, “You will be arrested and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.”
She also noted that these types of violent messages would not be tolerated.
