ATLANTA — Aaron Judge continues to etch his name in New York Yankees history. On Sunday, he hit his 351st career home run in a 4-2 victory over the Atlanta Braves, tying him with Alex Rodriguez for sixth place on the Yankees’ all-time home run list.
A Special Milestone for Judge
Judge’s milestone homer came in the first inning, when he launched a solo shot to right field off Braves pitcher Grant Holmes. The 409-foot blast gave the Yankees a 1-0 lead and was his 36th home run of the season, marking another impressive achievement for the reigning American League MVP.
His performance in this game continues to solidify his place among baseball’s best.
“It’s just an incredible honor, especially growing up watching A-Rod for so many years and watching what he did in pinstripes,” Judge said after the game. “He’s a legend. One of the best ever players.”
The Yankees’ Home Run Leaders
Judge now finds himself in rare company, as he shares the sixth spot with A-Rod on the Yankees’ all-time home run list. He trails some of the greatest names in Yankees history, including Babe Ruth (659), Mickey Mantle (536), Lou Gehrig (493), Joe DiMaggio (361), and Yogi Berra (358).
Judge’s 351 home runs put him just 10 behind DiMaggio, one of the most revered figures in baseball.
Home Run Leaderboard and Judge’s Season
In addition to tying A-Rod, Judge is currently just two home runs behind MLB leader Cal Raleigh of the Seattle Mariners, who has 38 home runs and recently won the Home Run Derby in Atlanta. With 36 home runs so far in 2025, Judge remains a dominant force in the league and is within striking distance of the top spot.
Yankees Look Ahead
Following the victory over the Braves, the Yankees now head to Toronto for a three-game series against the AL East-leading Blue Jays. Judge will look to continue his home run surge as the Yankees aim to stay competitive in the playoff race.
