Adam Sandler is sharing his admiration for both Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce, offering glowing compliments for the two stars in a recent interview.

Sandler, 58, sat down with Entertainment Tonight alongside his Happy Gilmore 2 costar Julie Bowen to discuss the highly anticipated sequel to the classic comedy.

During the conversation, Sandler opened up about the impact of Kelce’s cameo in the movie and also spoke fondly of Swift’s relationship with his family.

Travis Kelce: A ‘Gentle, Nice Guy’

Sandler had nothing but praise for Travis Kelce, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end and Happy Gilmore 2 cameo star. “Travis is such a gentle, nice guy, and funny as hell,” Sandler shared. He went on to describe Kelce as the type of guy he grew up with, reflecting on how comfortable and easygoing their interactions were.

“When I was with Travis, it reminded me of my buddies in high school, and just being able to laugh and say the things you want to say.”

Sandler, who has worked with many notable celebrities, also mentioned that Kelce is not only a standout athlete but also a “great actor” and “a great human.” The admiration Sandler has for the Super Bowl champion was clear, as he added, “He’s a stud.”

Celebrity Cameos in Happy Gilmore 2

In the sequel, which also features appearances from Bad Bunny, Scott Mescudi, and various professional golfers, Julie Bowen joked about how easy it was to land such high-profile cameos. “Everybody wanted to be in it,” Bowen said with a laugh. Sandler agreed, noting that booking these famous faces wasn’t a difficult task.

With Kelce‘s cameo causing quite the buzz, it’s clear that the sequel is star-studded and promises plenty of entertainment.

Taylor Swift: ‘So Damn Nice’ to His Family

When it comes to Taylor Swift, Sandler couldn’t help but express how warm and kind the Eras Tour singer has been to his family. He revealed that his daughters, Sadie and Sunny, who also make appearances in Happy Gilmore 2, have met Swift on multiple occasions.

Sandler fondly recalled Swift greeting his children with a hug during the Los Angeles premiere of her Eras Tour Film in 2023.

“Taylor is incredible,” Sandler said. “Taylor is so damn nice to my family and has always been. My kids have met Taylor a bunch of times over the years, and she’s ridiculously nice to them and warm.” Sandler’s admiration for Swift extends beyond her public persona, as he sees her as not only a talented artist but also a genuinely kind person.

Sandler’s Adorable Moment with Swift

Back in February 2024, during an appearance on the SiriusXM podcast Conan O’Brien Needs a Friend, Sandler admitted that he gets a bit nervous around Swift. “I can get a little jumpy around Taylor… just cause I don’t wanna blow it for my kids,” Sandler confessed.

“I don’t stay as cool as I can.” It’s clear that despite his fame, Sandler still has a fanboy moment when it comes to his kids meeting Swift.
