Ariana Grande Isn’t Leaving Music — See Her Surprising Announcement!

Is Ariana Grande stepping away from music? After rumors began swirling that she planned to “abandon” her music career, the Grammy-winning singer quickly took to Instagram on July 16 to set the record straight and reassure fans.

Alongside a video of her performance at the 2024 Met Gala, Grande addressed the speculation, writing, “Very silly of you all to assume that just because I have my hands full with many things that I plan to abandon singing & music … !!!” She added that music has always been her lifeline and there’s no intention of walking away from it.

“It is and has always been my lifeline. There will need to be room made for all of it,” she explained. Grande, who recently released her latest album Eternal Sunshine last year, went on to share her excitement about her current projects: “It may not look exactly like it did before but I much prefer how it looks in my head. I am having fun. I feel grateful and excited and inspired.”

Grande clarified that she is finding a balance between her multiple projects and passions, continuing, “I’m finding a balance, between many projects and endeavors I love, and doing it my own way.”

And for those eagerly waiting for new music, Ariana confirmed that a mini upcoming tour is in the works for next year: “So I’m working on a plan to sing for you all next year. Even if it’s just for a little. I love you.”

Earlier, Grande made headlines with her new role as a voice actor in Jon M. Chu’s animated film adaptation of the beloved Dr. Seuss book, Oh, the Places You’ll Go!.

She shared her excitement about the project on Instagram Stories, writing, “I love this book, I love this script, I love the beautiful world of @drseuss, I love this incredible group of creative human beings. I am so thrilled to be a part of this one.”

In addition to her voice role, Grande is set to reprise her role as Galinda “Glinda” Upland in the much-anticipated Wicked: For Good film, slated for release on November 21, 2025. She was also recently announced to star in the fourth installment of Meet the Parents, alongside Robert De Niro and Ben Stiller.

Grande’s last major tour was the Sweetener World Tour in 2019, and though she hasn’t toured since then, her upcoming plans are sure to get fans excited for more.
