Mom's 'Paramour' Who Allowed 6-Year-Old Boy to Be Used 'As a Chew Toy' by 'Vicious' Dog Sentenced

A 30-year-old man, Taylor Marvin-Brown, has been sentenced to 10 years in prison after his involvement in the abuse of a 6-year-old boy, which led to the child being mauled by a dog.

The incident occurred after Marvin-Brown, described as the “paramour” of the victim’s mother, allowed the child to be handcuffed and attacked by the dog, resulting in severe and permanent injuries.

The Horrific Incident

The abuse, which occurred in a home in Savannah, Ohio, was part of a series of horrific events that left the 6-year-old boy with life-altering injuries. Marvin-Brown, alongside the boy’s mother, 28-year-old Angelina Williams, and dog owner Robert Michalski Jr., were involved in restraining the child with handcuffs and then releasing the dog to attack him.

The dog, described as “vicious,” bit the child on his neck and ear, causing serious injuries that required an airlift to the hospital for treatment.

The abuse took place in August 2024, when authorities responded to Michalski’s home after receiving reports of the child being attacked. Upon their arrival, Williams and Marvin-Brown were at the scene, while Michalski was found hiding with the dog. The animal was confiscated and deemed dangerous.

The Role of Taylor Marvin-Brown

Marvin-Brown, who agreed to a plea deal with prosecutors, pled guilty to one count of obstructing justice and three counts of complicity in the commission of a felony, including kidnapping and endangering children.

Despite the brutal nature of the crime, Marvin-Brown was praised by prosecutors for being cooperative with law enforcement. She was the first to reach out to the State, offering information about the case and helping provide life-saving measures for the boy after the attack.

During her sentencing, Marvin-Brown expressed deep remorse, saying, “I should have stepped up and said something. That day will be with me forever.” She added, choking back tears, “I have no excuse.”

Sentencing and Court Reaction

Judge Dave Stimpert of Ashland County Common Pleas Court delivered Marvin-Brown’s sentence on Monday. Although he acknowledged the severity of the case, including the “incredibly serious physical harm” done to the child, he stuck to the terms of the plea agreement, sentencing her to a minimum of 10 years in prison, with the possibility of up to 15 years.

The judge noted that Marvin-Brown’s role was less direct than that of Williams, the child’s mother, who had been sentenced to up to 28 1/2 years in prison earlier this month.

Prosecutors had recommended the 10-year sentence, citing Marvin-Brown’s cooperation with the investigation, including her honesty with law enforcement and her role in helping the victim.

Still, Judge Stimpert made it clear that the case was “horrendous,” and that Marvin-Brown’s actions were not to be taken lightly, despite her efforts to cooperate with the authorities.

Other Defendants and the Fate of the Dog

Two other individuals have also been convicted in connection with the abuse. Robert Michalski Jr., the dog owner, faces sentencing on July 21, 2025, for multiple charges, including endangering children and tampering with evidence. The dog involved in the attack has been deemed vicious and was confiscated by authorities.

Meanwhile, the victim’s mother, Angelina Williams, had been sentenced to 28 1/2 years in prison for her role in the abuse, after it was revealed that she had taken photos of her children tied up and shared them on Snapchat, showing her cruelty before the dog attack. Williams’ actions were heavily criticized by Judge Stimpert during her sentencing.

The Child’s Recovery and Future

The 6-year-old boy, whose name has not been released, is expected to face a long recovery due to the severity of his injuries. He will likely live with physical and emotional scars for the rest of his life.

The case has sparked widespread outrage over the abuse of children and the involvement of multiple adults in such a horrific crime.

As the legal proceedings continue for the remaining defendants, the hope is that the justice system can bring some sense of closure to the victim and his family, while serving as a reminder of the importance of protecting children from harm.
