Caitlyn Jenner Attends Son Brody Jenner's Intimate Malibu Wedding to Tia Blanco

Caitlyn Jenner was present to support her son, Brody Jenner, on his special day as he married pro surfer Tia Blanco in an intimate ceremony on Saturday, July 12.

The wedding took place at the Malibu home of Brody’s mother, Linda Thompson. The event was a small gathering, with around 60 to 70 guests in attendance.

Brody, 41, and Tia, 28, exchanged vows in a beautiful setting, marking an important moment in their lives. Caitlyn, 75, is Brody’s mother, whom he shares with his second ex-wife, Linda Thompson. The former couple, who were married from 1981 to 1986, also have a son, Brandon Jenner.

Caitlyn’s family includes children from her previous marriages, including son Burt Jenner and daughter Cassandra Marino from her first marriage to Chrystie Scott, as well as daughters Kendall and Kylie Jenner from her third marriage to Kris Jenner.

Despite Caitlyn’s presence at Brody’s wedding, their relationship hasn’t always been smooth. In a 2013 Keeping Up With the Kardashians episode, Brody openly admitted that Caitlyn had not been a “great father” and had been absent during much of his childhood.

Brody also expressed his hurt about Caitlyn not being present at his wedding to Kaitlynn Carter in 2018, calling it a “big disappointment.” “Not having my dad at the wedding, it was a bummer,” he said on The Hills: New Beginnings, adding that it “really did hurt.”

However, their relationship has since improved. In January 2023, Brody shared that Caitlyn had issued a heartfelt apology to him. He described the moment as “the first time in my life that I’ve ever gotten an apology” and expressed that it meant a lot to him.

Caitlyn’s representative confirmed to PEOPLE that she and Brody had built a positive relationship, with Brody later stating that they now have a “great relationship.”

Brody reflected on his childhood experience, admitting that while Caitlyn wasn’t always around, it ultimately helped him as a father to his own daughter, Honey, whom he welcomed with Tia in July 2023. “I’m grateful for it,” Brody said, explaining that her absence made him want to be a more present parent.

He emphasized that his relationship with Caitlyn had been strengthened over time by letting go of past hurts and focusing on the positive aspects of life and family.

Through his journey of healing and forgiveness, Brody has come to understand that everyone faces challenges, and holding onto resentment only causes harm. “None of us are perfect,” he said. “You just have to let those things go and move forward.”

Brody and Caitlyn’s evolving relationship is a reminder that family dynamics can change, and personal growth and forgiveness can pave the way for deeper connections.
