Jesse Lally Reveals the Truth About Janet Caperna’s Trip to Switzerland

Jesse Lally from The Valley is clearing up rumors about his co-star Janet Caperna’s recent trip to Switzerland.

During an interview on SiriusXM’s The Julia Cunningham Show on July 8, Lally explained that Janet’s time in Switzerland with her husband Jason Caperna and their 18-month-old son Cameron was not an escape from the drama or online hate she’s been receiving. Instead, it was simply a “planned vacation.”

Lally shared that one of his best friends lives in Zurich, and he had been helping Caperna plan their trip. “They called me, and we were talking about summer vacations, maybe going to Switzerland or Lake Como.

I gave them some recommendations,” he said. He also joked, “Switzerland would be a good place to flee to. I would do that right now if I could.”

The Backlash Janet Has Faced

Janet had shared on her podcast, This Side of the Hill, on July 2 that she has been receiving “disturbing” messages as the current season of The Valley airs.

Due to the online hate, she made her social media private and said, “It’s gotten so dark and bad almost on a daily basis with threats and slurs.” She also emphasized being more careful about what she shares, especially about her family.

As of July 8, her Instagram account remains private.

Lally on Janet’s Role in the Drama

Lally also spoke about the online reactions toward Janet. He mentioned that fans are curious about her past, especially her marriage to Jason, and questioned why she was getting involved in other people’s drama.

“Right now, people are reacting to her constantly trying to be involved in dramatic situations,” he said, referring to a recent conflict Janet had with Kristen Doute at the El Coyote restaurant.

Lally pointed out that viewers are upset because Janet didn’t need to be part of that particular conversation. “People are really drilling her with that one, and it’s true: She didn’t need to be involved,” he said.
