Melanie “Mel B” Brown, the iconic former Spice Girls member, had a glamorous wedding to hairstylist Rory McPhee on Saturday, July 5. The ceremony took place in The Crypt at St Paul’s Cathedral in London, surrounded by family, friends, and a few well-known faces from the world of entertainment.
A Celeb-Filled Wedding
Mel B’s wedding was a true celebrity affair. The guest list included notable names such as supermodel Cara Delevingne, comedian Katherine Ryan, and model Daisy Lowe.
Among the famous faces in attendance was Mel B’s former Spice Girls bandmate, Emma Bunton, also known as Baby Spice. The other Spice Girls—Victoria Beckham, Geri Halliwell, and Melanie “Mel” C—were not in attendance.
The Bride’s Stunning Look
Mel B stunned in a beautiful wedding dress designed by Josephine Scott, walking down the aisle in style. Later in the evening, she changed into a second dress by designer Justin Alexander, adding an extra touch of elegance to the celebration. Her three daughters played a special role at the wedding, serving as bridesmaids.
They are 26-year-old Phoenix, whom Mel B shares with ex-husband Jimmy Gulzar; 13-year-old Madison, with ex-husband Stephen Belafonte; and 18-year-old Angel Iris, whose father is actor Eddie Murphy.
The Reception at the Shangri-La
After the ceremony, the newlyweds and their guests headed to the Shangri-La venue, located inside The Shard—one of London’s most famous landmarks. The venue offered stunning views of the city, creating a spectacular setting for the evening’s reception.
How Mel B and Rory McPhee Found Love
Mel B and Rory McPhee’s love story began in 2019, when they connected romantically, despite being longtime family friends. At the time, Mel B was adamant that she would never get married again. “I was like, ‘I’m never going to get married again. Never, never, never.
I’m never having a relationship. I’m fine by myself. I want to raise my kids, put my head down and work, and that’s it,’” she had shared in 2024. But as she admitted, “Never can say never, can you?”
In 2022, McPhee proposed to Mel B during a romantic getaway. The proposal took place at Cliveden, a luxurious hotel, with rose petals scattered around, a log fire crackling, and an unforgettable atmosphere of romance.
McPhee expressed his love, telling her, “I love you, you’re my best friend and I want to spend the rest of my life with you.”
