Todd and Julie Chrisley Reveal Their Dream Relocation and Career Plans After Release

Big changes are ahead for reality stars Todd and Julie Chrisley as they step back into normal life after being released from prison on May 28 following a presidential pardon.

In an exclusive interview for an ABC News Studios special, which premiered on June 29 on Hulu and Disney+ and aired on GMA on June 30, the couple opened up about their future plans, including where they want to relocate and their career aspirations.

The Chrisleys’ Dream Relocation to South Carolina

Todd, 56, shared that he and his wife, Julie, 52, are planning to relocate to Charleston, South Carolina, where they have a strong pull to return. Although they will always have a presence in Nashville, Todd expressed a desire to go back to South Carolina and settle in the Charleston area.

“We have plans for what we wanna do,” Todd explained. “We have hopes of acquiring a hotel — a mansion — there, that we are gonna convert into a hotel, and we’re gonna create a show around that.”

This ambitious project marks a new chapter for the Chrisleys, who have faced numerous challenges in recent years due to their 2022 conviction for tax evasion and bank fraud, followed by their 2023 incarceration.

The Chrisleys’ New Docuseries and Career Hopes

Todd also revealed that the family is working on a docuseries for Lifetime, which will give viewers an inside look at their lives after returning home from prison. Filming began immediately after their release, capturing the family’s transition and their ongoing journey.

The show will follow the Chrisleys’ children as they cope with their parents’ legal battles and incarceration, including Savannah Chrisley, who took care of her younger siblings during their parents’ time in prison. The docuseries will also document the family’s life post-release as they adjust to their new normal.

Savannah, 27, shared her excitement about getting back to a regular routine. She revealed she is moving into a condo and jokingly expressed that she won’t miss the maintenance of their old home.

“I’m not gonna miss landscapers. I’m not gonna miss pool people,” she said during the interview. Todd humorously added, “I have learned that a house is not a priority to her … maintenance is not a priority to her.” Savannah responded, “I was raising kids.”

A Fresh Start After Prison

After their turbulent legal and personal struggles, Todd and Julie are looking forward to this next phase of their lives, with new career plans and a fresh start in South Carolina. Their dream project, turning a mansion into a hotel, combined with their new docuseries, marks a bold and exciting new direction for the family.

As the Chrisleys work toward their dreams, their story continues to captivate fans, and the upcoming docuseries will give an intimate look at how they rebuild their lives and careers after the hurdles they’ve faced.
