A man was arrested in Bixby for drug trafficking and reckless driving after causing a car accident on Tuesday night. The incident led to a series of events that ended with the suspect being taken into police custody.
The Incident in Bixby
On Tuesday, June 24th, Bixby Police responded to a call about a car accident near 11700 South Sheridan Road. The call came in at around 8:27 p.m. and officers quickly arrived at the scene to investigate.
Witnesses at the accident site pointed police in the direction of a man with tattoos, who had reportedly left the scene on foot.
The Chase
Officers began their search in the Graystone neighborhood, receiving calls from local residents about a “sweaty man” jumping fences and running through backyards. The suspect was seen trying to avoid capture, making his way through the neighborhood.
Arrest and Discovery of Drugs
After a brief pursuit, the man was located and identified as Zackery Huddleston. He was arrested by the police and taken into custody. Upon searching his car, officers discovered around 581 grams of methamphetamine and 8 grams of marijuana.
