Jesse McCartney and his wife, Katie Peterson, are officially parents! The couple shared the first public photos of their newborn son on social media, introducing their little one to the world.
On Tuesday, June 17, the proud parents posted an adorable announcement on Instagram, introducing Archer James McCartney.
“Archer James McCartney took center stage on 5/7/25 💙🏹,” they wrote, alongside a carousel of sweet images showing their newborn in his first outfit: a white onesie with baby blue stitching and his name, “Archer,” written in cursive across his chest.
A Special Early Arrival
“Our sweet Archie couldn’t wait to meet us and arrived a bit earlier than expected. We are so in love with him,” the couple shared. Despite arriving earlier than planned, the new parents expressed their joy and excitement over their baby boy’s early debut.
The post also revealed that Archer is already enjoying quality family time, with mom reading to him and dad singing him “off to sleep.”
The couple shared a sweet detail about their family dog, Bailey, noting that the pup sleeps with Archer’s blanket every night. “We look forward to bringing him home very soon to meet his big sister Bailey,” they added.

The photos showed Archer swaddled in a custom baby blue and white blanket, with his arms raised adorably. Another picture showed him seated in front of a teddy bear, adding to the cuteness.

In their Instagram announcement, McCartney’s wife explained how she fell in love with the “Beautiful Soul” singer, describing him as “very thoughtful with his time.”
She went on to say, “For somebody who’s so busy and always on the go, he just has this generous way of prioritizing me. We just make each other laugh. I feel the most comfortable being myself when I’m with him, which I think is really the true tell of when you found your person.”
The couple, who tied the knot in Carmel, California, in 2021 after seven years of dating, is now embracing their new chapter as parents.
