Chicago Sky star Angel Reese made history on Sunday, becoming the second youngest player in WNBA history to record a triple-double.
Reese led her team to a 78-66 victory over the Connecticut Sun in the Commissioner’s Cup, posting a stat line of 11 points, 11 assists, and 13 rebounds for her first career triple-double at just 23 years and 40 days old.
The performance helped the Sky snap a three-game losing streak and move to 3-7 in the standings.
A Historic Achievement for Reese
Only Caitlin Clark has recorded a triple-double at a younger age, doing so twice at 22. Reese, a WNBA All-Star in her first season, added to her impressive resume with a well-rounded performance.
In addition to her points, assists, and rebounds, she also contributed two blocks and three steals, further showcasing her versatility on both ends of the court.

In addition to Reese’s historic performance, rookie Hayley Van Lith provided a significant spark off the bench, scoring 16 points. Kia Nurse also had an efficient night, making all four of her shots, including a perfect 3-of-3 from three-point range, finishing with 11 points.
The team’s well-rounded effort was crucial in securing the win, especially after the Sky were dealt a major setback earlier in the season with the loss of Courtney Vandersloot to an ACL tear.
Connecticut Sun Struggles
On the other side, the Connecticut Sun fell to last in the Eastern Conference Commissioner’s Cup standings after the loss. Marina Mabrey led the Sun with 22 points, and Tina Charles added 19, but it wasn’t enough to overcome Chicago’s balanced attack.
