Machete Attack in Florida Turns into Unexpected Hospital Visit—Here’s Why

A Florida man is facing charges after allegedly attacking a stranger with a machete outside a Circle K store in Osceola County.

After injuring the man, Angel Ramos-Arce, 35, decided to take his victim to the hospital himself, claiming he felt bad for what he had done. He was arrested and charged with aggravated battery.

The Attack at Circle K

The incident took place on Monday outside the Circle K convenience store on West Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway. According to an arrest affidavit, Ramos-Arce entered the store and started yelling at the employee. The employee, feeling threatened, called her brother for help.

When the employee’s brother arrived, he confronted Ramos-Arce, and shortly after, the employee’s boyfriend stepped in to separate the two men. Ramos-Arce then allegedly punched the boyfriend in the face.

In response, Ramos-Arce ran to his truck, grabbed a machete, and threatened the two men, saying they were “significantly bigger” than him. The two men fled, but Ramos-Arce chased them and, when he caught up, slashed the brother’s arm with the machete.

Ramos-Arce’s Remorse and Arrest

Ramos-Arce later told authorities that the slashing was an accident. He claimed he felt bad about what had happened and offered to take the injured man to the hospital himself. The victim agreed, and Ramos-Arce drove him to AdventHealth Kissimmee.

However, the woman who had witnessed the incident recognized Ramos-Arce’s truck and informed the deputies. Authorities followed the truck to the hospital, where they found blood and the machete inside the vehicle.

Charges and Arrest

Ramos-Arce was arrested and charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and aggravated battery causing bodily harm. He was booked into the Osceola County Jail.

Angel Ramos-Arce now faces serious charges after attacking a stranger with a machete and later attempting to take him to the hospital. Despite his remorse, the attack has led to significant legal consequences.
