What Happened in Wimberley

According to the NWS office serving Austin/San Antonio, Tornado #1 touched down between 1:02 a.m. and 1:05 a.m. CDT. It carved a path about 1.4 miles long and up to 50 yards wide.

Immediately after, Tornado #2 formed between 1:06 a.m. and 1:08 a.m. CDT, traveling 0.59 miles with a maximum width of 75 yards.

Tornado Strength and Impact

Both tornadoes were classified as EF‑0, which is the weakest category on the Enhanced Fujita scale. That means they had winds up to around 80 mph and did minimal damage—like broken tree branches or minor roof damage. Thankfully, there were no injuries or deaths reported.
