Mel B is giving fans an exclusive look into her wedding day with Rory McPhee! The 50-year-old Spice Girl shared a heartfelt Instagram video capturing behind-the-scenes moments before her nuptials to McPhee on Saturday, July 5.
The intimate clips show the couple preparing for their big day in their respective hotel rooms, giving fans a glimpse into the excitement leading up to the ceremony.
Getting Ready for the Big Day
The Instagram video revealed Mel B being pampered as she got her makeup and hair done, chatting with her bridal party as she relaxed in a chair. In other clips, she was seen cooling off with a fan and dancing as she was helped into her stunning gown.
According to Hello! Magazine, Mel B wore a breathtaking dress from London-based shop Evelie Bridal. The strapless corset gown featured a sheer illusion jacket adorned with pearls, paired with a cathedral veil and her hair styled in natural curls framing her face.
The wedding dress designer, Josephine Scott, explained that the gown was made to reflect Mel B’s “fearless spirit” while capturing both her power and softness. “She’s iconic, powerful, and radiant — and this dress had to be worthy of that,” Scott said. “Every detail was chosen to honor her strength and sensuality, while celebrating the woman and the love story beneath the girl power.”
Rory McPhee’s Scottish Heritage Honored
In the video, Mel B also shared clips of her groom, Rory McPhee, as he donned his wedding attire. McPhee wore a black bow tie and jacket with a red-patterned kilt, paying tribute to his Scottish heritage. The couple’s love story continued to unfold beautifully as they exchanged rings and tied the knot.
Wedding Reception at the Shangri-La Hotel
Following the ceremony, the couple celebrated with a reception at the luxurious Shangri-La Hotel in The Shard, a 95-story skyscraper in London, which was beautifully decorated with fairy lights and florals. The Spice Girls’ iconic hit, “Wannabe,” played as the newlyweds and their guests made their way into the stunning venue.
The Shangri-La Hotel occupies the top floors of The Shard, offering panoramic views of London and the River Thames. Among the celebrity guests was Mel B’s close friend, Emma Bunton (Baby Spice), who mingled with others while enjoying the breathtaking skyline.
A Sparkling “Just Married” Cardigan and a Sweet Reception
For the reception, Mel B slipped on a sequin-embellished cardigan that read “Just Married” over her wedding dress. The night included a bouquet toss, the cutting of their Victoria sponge wedding cake — which featured leopard print icing, a nod to Mel B’s Scary Spice persona — and plenty of dancing and celebration.
A New Beginning for Mel B
Despite swearing off marriage after two previous divorces, Mel B found love once again with McPhee. She previously said, “I was like, ‘I’m never going to get married again. Never, never, never. I’m never having a relationship. I’m fine by myself.’ And then… never can say never, can you?”
Mel B shares three daughters — Phoenix, 26, with ex-husband Jimmy Gulzar, Madison, 13, with ex-husband Stephen Belafonte, and Angel Iris, 18, with ex-boyfriend Eddie Murphy — all of whom were present at her wedding.
Reflecting on her journey to find true love, Mel B shared, “I believe in love, and clearly the other two marriages turned out to be not love, from their angle.
