Miley’s Early Introduction to Beyoncé’s Music

Cyrus also shared a personal story about her early exposure to Beyoncé’s music, recalling how her granddad bought her a karaoke machine in late elementary school that featured Destiny’s Child’s hit song “Survivor.”

“I would do that,” Cyrus said with a smile, reflecting on how impactful it was. She added that the karaoke machine also included “The Tide Is High” by Blondie, and she joked, “I feel like it knew the girl that I was. It was like, ‘We’re gonna give you Destiny’s Child, but we’re also gonna give you Debbie Harry.’ And then somehow this has become who I am.”
