Seth Schlueter, a 30-year-old Ohio man, was recently indicted for a series of offenses after a road rage incident escalated into a terrifying situation for a woman and her family.
The incident, which occurred on July 11, 2025, involved Schlueter confronting the woman, breaking into her home, and physically assaulting her husband, according to authorities in Clermont County.
The Road Rage Incident
The incident started when Schlueter, who was reportedly intoxicated, stopped his vehicle in the middle of State Route 727, near the Stonelick Park Dam in Clermont County, about 35 miles northeast of Cincinnati.
The woman, who was traveling behind him, honked her horn as she navigated around his stopped car. Apparently, Schlueter took offense to being honked at, which led to a dangerous confrontation.
Confrontation at the Victim’s Home
Shortly after, deputies were called to a house on Lair Road in Wayne Township, a rural area in Clermont County. According to the Clermont County Sheriff’s Office, Schlueter confronted the woman’s husband on their front porch.
Witnesses believed Schlueter was intoxicated at the time, and the confrontation quickly escalated. The woman, fearing for her safety, ran to the back of the house. The husband tried to calm the situation, but Schlueter’s actions grew more aggressive.
As the couple tried to escape to the rear of the house, Schlueter allegedly took his children out of the car and proceeded to follow them. Schlueter then broke into the home without permission, damaging property inside. When the couple returned to the front of the house, they found Schlueter inside. He then struck the male victim in the face before quickly gathering his children and fleeing the scene.
Charges and Arrest
After the attack, the male victim was treated by Wayne Township EMS for minor injuries but declined further treatment. Schlueter was later located and arrested at a nearby convenience store without incident.
Schlueter faces multiple charges, including aggravated burglary, burglary, assault, aggravated menacing, operating a motor vehicle under the influence, and endangering children. However, most of the charges against him were dismissed, and prosecutors are now focusing on the aggravated burglary charge.
Schlueter is scheduled to appear in court on August 1, 2025, to face the remaining charge. He is currently being held at the Clermont County Jail on $200,000 bond.
