Alfred Collins, the 43rd overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, has officially agreed to terms with the San Francisco 49ers. According to multiple reports, Collins, a defensive tackle, will sign a contract worth a total of $10.3 million. Out of that, $9 million is guaranteed, which is about 87.37% of the total value.
This marks a significant increase in full guarantees over the 43rd pick from the previous year, who had 77.98% of their deal fully guaranteed.
Although Collins’ contract is not fully guaranteed, the increase in guarantees suggests a shift in how teams are approaching second-round picks. This may set a new benchmark for future negotiations, potentially influencing the contracts of players picked before and after him in the draft.
The 49ers‘ agreement with Collins is seen as a healthy step for the defensive tackle, who will now look to make an immediate impact as part of their defense.
