Minnesota Man Arrested for Stabbing Death of 21-Year-Old in Murderous Dispute Over Alleged Infidelity

A 20-year-old Minnesota man, Aron Isait Medina Rojas, is facing second-degree murder charges after allegedly killing Daniel Isaac Aguilar, 21, during a heated altercation that began with a personal dispute over infidelity. The fatal stabbing occurred on July 6, 2023, in Apple Valley, Minnesota.

According to the Dakota County court records, officers were dispatched to the area around 3:12 a.m., where they found Aguilar’s body, “still warm to the touch,” lying on a sidewalk.

The victim had suffered a puncture wound to his chest, and police quickly determined that the blood trail led investigators to the scene of the murder. They discovered footage showing Rojas confronting Aguilar, who was reportedly walking home after a night out with his girlfriend.

Details surrounding the incident suggest that the dispute began earlier in the evening at a club in Minneapolis, where Aguilar was arguing with his girlfriend. She later told police that she and Rojas’ girlfriend had been communicating, as Aguilar allegedly cheated on her, causing Rojas’ girlfriend to express hatred towards him.

Later, Rojas and his girlfriend reportedly drove to Aguilar’s location, where an altercation ensued, and Rojas allegedly stabbed Aguilar in the chest before walking away from the scene with his girlfriend. Rojas‘ girlfriend told authorities that after Aguilar became aggressive towards her, Rojas had exited the car and the fight escalated before Aguilar collapsed.

The Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s Office ruled Aguilar’s death a homicide caused by sharp force injuries. Rojas was arrested and is currently awaiting further proceedings.
