Bella Thorne has reignited the drama surrounding her brief romance with Charlie Puth, alleging that he “lied to the entire world” about their relationship after she refused to sleep with him.
Thorne, 27, made the comments on July 11 in a reply to a post on Instagram featuring former Little Mix member Jade Thirlwall, who had previously expressed that she wouldn’t collaborate with Puth.
In her comment, Thorne wrote, “Yeah I mean… he lied to the entire world about me and started a hate train. All because I wouldn’t … do the deed with him.” This was a clear reference to her short-lived connection with Puth in 2016.
The Backstory: Thorne and Puth’s Rumored Romance
Thorne and Puth were first linked in December 2016 after they were spotted together at Jingle Ball in Miami. During the event, Puth even serenaded Thorne onstage. However, their rumored romance quickly soured when Puth, 33, publicly accused Thorne of infidelity on Twitter (now X).
