Sami Sheen’s Relationship Advice for Women—Just Days Before Her Mom’s Divorce!

Sami Sheen isn’t afraid to speak out when it comes to relationships, especially when it involves toxic behavior. The 21-year-old model recently posted a powerful message on TikTok about recognizing and avoiding toxic relationships.

This came just two days before news broke that her mom, Denise Richards, was getting a divorce from her stepdad, Aaron Phypers.

Sami’s Advice on Toxic Relationships

In the TikTok video titled “How to remove the rose-colored glasses in a toxic relationship,” Sami shared how she sets healthy boundaries when she suspects someone might be treating her poorly.

She began by explaining that sometimes, it’s easy to overlook toxic behavior, especially when the person is good to you some days but cruel on others.

She said, “If you’re dating someone toxic but don’t really know if they’re toxic… you have to ask yourself, if you had a daughter, and she was dating a man like this, what would you tell her?” She went on, “I would tell her to break up with him, block him, move on, he’s a piece of s—, treats her like s—.”

Sami also emphasized how imagining her own child in that situation helps her make decisions: “Imagine having a kid and she’s getting treated like this. Absolutely the f— not.”

The Power of Seeing Things from an Outsider’s Perspective

Sami explained that she’s naturally a “very motherly person,” and she uses that to her advantage when thinking about toxic relationships. “Just imagine your friend in this situation, or your mom, or your sibling,” she suggested. “If they came to you with the same problem, what would you tell them? That’s your answer.”

She added that while it’s hard to break out of a toxic relationship, especially with judgment from others, looking at things from an outsider’s perspective can help.

“I understand more than anyone it is so hard and almost feels impossible sometimes to get out of a toxic relationship,” she said, encouraging others to keep a clear head.

Sami on Narcissism and Toxic Behavior

Sami continued her message on social media, sharing her thoughts on dealing with narcissistic behavior. In a post the day before, she said, “You cannot reason with crazy, and a lot of men are crazy.” She explained that trying to deal with people like that is a waste of energy and can be emotionally exhausting.

In another post on July 8, Sami shared a lighthearted clip of herself doing makeup with a friend, with the text “this and no men >>” across the screen, reinforcing her message of independence.

The Timing of Sami’s Posts

These posts came just one day after her stepdad, Aaron Phypers, filed for divorce from her mother, Denise Richards. Phypers, 52, cited “irreconcilable differences” in the divorce filing and requested spousal support. The couple had been married for nearly seven years, having tied the knot in September 2018.

They share no minor children, though Richards had been in the process of having Phypers adopt her daughter Eloise, 14, but it’s unclear whether that adoption was ever finalized.
