RHOM New Castmate Stephanie Shojaee Explains Why She Didn't Want Children: "I Wanted to Be Filthy Rich"

Stephanie Shojaee, the newest star of The Real Housewives of Miami (RHOM), is making waves by sharing her unique perspective on life, motherhood, and career.

In the July 2 episode of the Bravo series, Stephanie, a real estate developer and president of Shoma Group, opened up about her decision not to have children and why her primary focus has always been building wealth.

Prioritizing Career Over Motherhood

The Miami native, 40, was introduced to RHOM fans as a friend of Larsa Pippen. During her first meet-up with some of the cast members, including Larsa, Julia Lemigova, and Marysol Patton, Larsa mentioned that Stephanie isn’t fond of children, even joking that “Birkins and boogers don’t go together.”

However, despite this, Stephanie wasn’t shy about asking Julia about her experience with adopting two young boys. Julia shared how much she loved it, though she admitted she wasn’t a fan of the diaper stage, which caused Stephanie to make a face of genuine concern.

In a voiceover, Stephanie reflected on her priorities, saying, “I knew at a very young age that I wanted to be filthy rich.” She explained that her dedication to her career has been her primary focus, and while she considered having children, she ultimately decided that motherhood wasn’t for her.

A Busy Life with No Time for Kids

Stephanie opened up in her confessional, admitting that she once had fleeting thoughts about becoming a mother, even considering freezing her eggs. However, she quickly dismissed the idea after realizing how packed her schedule is.

“I don’t even have time to go to the doctor to freeze my eggs. I don’t really have time to go pee,” she joked, highlighting the overwhelming demands of her career.

As the president of a successful real estate company, she’s driven by ambition. While she acknowledged the help she received from her husband, Masoud Shojaee, CEO of Shoma Group, she made it clear that her success was not solely due to him.

“I’m not where I am because I married Masoud Shojaee. Yes, maybe I got a little bit of help, but everybody in life gets a little bit of help,” she explained, emphasizing her hard work and determination.

A Surprising Love Story

Stephanie also shared a glimpse into her personal life, recalling how she met her husband, Masoud Shojaee, at a Miami Heat game nearly 15 years ago when she was 26, and he was 50.

Initially, the age gap was a concern for her, as she didn’t want to be labeled a “gold digger.” However, after meeting Masoud, her perspective changed completely.

In a previous appearance on Uncut and Uncensored with Caroline Stanbury, Stephanie admitted that she initially “chickened out” before their first date because of the age difference. But after canceling on him a few times, the couple’s paths crossed again at another basketball game, where her mom encouraged her to give it a shot.

Masoud eventually picked her up two hours late for their dinner date, but Stephanie joked that she probably wouldn’t have gone if she hadn’t already paid for her hair and makeup. From that moment, the couple has been inseparable.

Stephanie Shojaee’s story of choosing career success over motherhood and her blossoming relationship with her husband offers a fresh perspective on what it means to be successful and fulfilled in life.

While some may choose the path of motherhood, Stephanie’s focus has always been on building an empire. Fans will be able to follow her journey as the newest member of The Real Housewives of Miami.
