Post Malone is known for his energetic performances, but during his State Farm Stadium concert in Glendale, Arizona, on June 22, the “Circles” singer took an unexpected tumble on stage.
While performing “Somebody Pour Me a Drink” with Blake Shelton, Malone, 29, walked up the stage’s catwalk and attempted to toast a fan who was recording the performance.
However, things didn’t go as planned. As Malone leaned forward to toast the fan, a piece of the stage gave way, causing him to lose his balance and fall forward.
The fan who recorded the moment shared the video on TikTok, captioning it, “I am SO sorry Austin. I love you! Such an amazing show ❤️” while tagging Post Malone.
Fans React to Malone’s Onstage Mishap
Fans immediately flooded the comments section of the video, expressing concern for Malone’s well-being after the fall. Despite the mishap, the singer continued with his Big Ass Stadium Tour, and the concert proceeded without any further issues.
This is not the first time the “Sunflower” singer has experienced a stage fall. Back in September 2022, during his Twelve Carat Tour in St. Louis, Malone fell through a trap door on stage, injuring his ribs. However, he didn’t let the fall stop him from continuing the performance.
Previous Onstage Falls and Injuries
In the aftermath of his St. Louis fall, Malone’s manager shared on Instagram that he had bruised ribs, but the singer still carried on with his tour. “Everything’s good,” he said in a video on X, after leaving the hospital, adding that he was given pain medication and would “keep kicking ass on the tour.”
Malone later apologized to fans in St. Louis and promised to make up for the songs he couldn’t perform due to the injury, thanking the crowd for their support and love despite the mishap.
Days after the fall, he had to postpone his Boston show due to significant pain from his bruised ribs, explaining that he was experiencing “a stabbing pain whenever I breathe or move” and had difficulty breathing.
In October 2022, Malone had another onstage injury when he twisted his ankle in one of the holes in his stage during his Atlanta concert.
Despite the injury, Malone attempted to continue performing, joking with the audience, “So if my dance moves aren’t 100%, you’ve gotta forgive me tonight, ladies and gentlemen. I’mma do my best.”
Wrapping Up the Big Ass Stadium Tour
Despite his past missteps, Post Malone has continued to power through his tour and is currently wrapping up his Big Ass Stadium Tour with Jelly Roll.
The tour, which kicked off in April in Salt Lake City, has taken the duo to several major cities, including Philadelphia, New York, Las Vegas, Dallas, Atlanta, and Toronto. The final show for the U.S. leg of the tour will take place at Oracle Park in San Francisco on July 1.
Even with his onstage mishaps and injuries, Post Malone has proven time and again that he’s committed to delivering unforgettable performances for his fans.
Despite his falls, his resilience and dedication to his craft have earned him immense respect from his audience, and fans are excited to see what the final show of his Big Ass Stadium Tour has in store.
