Kevin James, best known for his role on The King of Queens, showed off his surprising versatility during a fun surprise appearance at the Buckeye Country Superfest in Ohio on June 21.
The 60-year-old actor joined country star Jelly Roll on stage, leaving fans in fits of laughter as the two looked like twins.
A Surprising Duo
Jelly Roll, 40, kicked off his set by bringing James out to perform his hit single “Need a Favor.” Both dressed in matching black outfits, they looked like they could be long-lost brothers. James wore black pants, a black short-sleeved T-shirt, a black vest, and a backwards black baseball cap. The only real difference between him and Jelly Roll was the singer’s platinum chains and visible tattoos.
James, known for his comedic roles, didn’t hold back as he danced around the stage, fully embracing his role as Jelly Roll’s twin for the night. The crowd was clearly loving the unexpected pairing, and a TikTok video capturing the hilarious moment quickly went viral.
One TikTok user commented, “Love the twinning couldn’t be more perfect,” while another wrote, “But like Kevin James is Jelly Roll if all of his tattoos are removed.”
Kevin James’ Fun Internet Moments
Kevin James has made a name for himself in the world of viral moments. Just a few months ago, he appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, where he shared the behind-the-scenes story of the famous King of Queens meme.
The photo, showing James in an awkward pose with a smirk and shrug, became an internet sensation, and James recalled how the photographer had him do a series of strange poses on set. He jokingly said, “I’m like, ‘What the hell am I doing?’” after doing the awkward pose.
Despite knowing the shot was awkward at the time, James revealed that he was assured the picture would never see the light of day — only for it to resurface 25 years later.
In typical Kevin James fashion, he recreated the pose during his Tonight Show appearance with Fallon, bringing even more laughs to the audience.
More Fun Moments with Jimmy Fallon
But the fun didn’t stop there. James and Fallon also performed a hilarious skit called the “Groundhog Day Song,” where they both wore matching parkas lined with fur around the hoods and trapper hats. It was just another example of James’ ability to bring joy and laughter to any situation.
Upcoming Tours
While Jelly Roll is busy touring the U.S. this summer and fall, promoting his latest album Beautifully Broken (released in October 2024), Kevin James is also gearing up for his own tour.
James will be hitting the road this fall for his stand-up tour, with tickets already on sale for fans who want to catch his comedic charm live on stage.
