Dutch Wonderland, the beloved family theme park in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, has officially changed hands. The park was part of a full U.S. portfolio acquisition by Herschend, a privately-owned entertainment company.

The deal involves Herschend acquiring all U.S. properties owned by Palace Entertainment, including Dutch Wonderland. The acquisition was finalized through an agreement between Herschend and Parques Reunidos.

Dutch Wonderland is celebrating its 75th anniversary this year. The new owners say they plan to honor its long-standing legacy while looking to the future.

“We’re celebrating 75 years of bringing families closer together—and looking ahead to the next 75,” said Herschend CEO Andrew Wexler.

According to the company, no immediate changes will be made as Dutch Wonderland transitions into Herschend’s portfolio. Operations are expected to continue as usual.

“These historic and beloved properties have been family traditions for generations,” said Chris Herschend, Chair of the Herschend Board. “We are honored to help carry that legacy forward.”

Dutch Wonderland has been a staple of family entertainment in Pennsylvania for decades, and this acquisition signals continued investment in the park’s future.
