Jack Osbourne Shares Funny Memory About Late Dad Ozzy’s Picky Eating Habits

Jack Osbourne recently shared a sweet and funny memory about his father, the late Ozzy Osbourne, during an appearance on the U.K. show Cooking with the Stars.

Although the episode was filmed before Ozzy’s passing, it gave fans a new glimpse into the legendary rocker’s everyday life—especially his food preferences.

Ozzy Was a Super Picky Eater

Jack, who is now 39, spoke about what it was like growing up with his famous dad. He said that before moving to America at age 11, the Osbourne family often ate potato waffles and takeout meals in England. Once they moved to the U.S., they had chefs cook for them at home—but Ozzy was not easy to please.

Jack joked that Ozzy was such a picky eater that even the best chefs didn’t last long in their house. “He would just suddenly say, ‘No, I don’t like it anymore,’” Jack laughed, explaining how his dad would lose interest in even the most delicious meals prepared by top-notch chefs.

Remembering Ozzy After His Death

Ozzy Osbourne passed away on July 22, 2025, at the age of 76. He had been diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in 2023 and had performed his final Black Sabbath concert earlier in July, just weeks before his death.

After his passing, Jack joined his family—mom Sharon, and sisters Aimee and Kelly—at the Black Sabbath bridge and bench in Birmingham, England, to honor the music legend’s memory.

A Celebration of Life, Not a Sad Goodbye

A close family source told PEOPLE that Ozzy’s funeral was planned to be a small and private event. The Osbournes wanted it to feel like a celebration of Ozzy’s bold and unforgettable life, not a sad occasion. “Ozzy would never want a mope-fest,” the source said, adding that the family felt deeply grateful for the special time they had with him before his passing.

Lisa Stelly and Kelly Osbourne Share Tributes

While Jack hasn’t spoken publicly about his father’s passing yet, other family members have been paying tribute. Jack’s ex-wife Lisa Stelly shared a heartfelt post on Instagram showing Ozzy spending time with his grandchildren.

The photos showed everything from painting at home to flying on a private jet. She captioned it, “Love you, Papa,” and added Ozzy’s emotional 1995 song, See You on the Other Side.

Kelly Osbourne also honored her father in a touching way. On August 1, she posted a photo of a purple flower arrangement shaped with the words: “Ozzy F—— Osbourne.” The flowers looked similar to those placed on the hearse during Ozzy’s funeral.

A few days earlier, on July 24, she posted a tribute on Instagram with lyrics from the song Changes, which she and Ozzy sang together in 2003:
“I feel unhappy I am so sad. I lost the best friend I ever had 💔.”
