Antioch, TN – Diamond Tankard, a 21-year-old Tennessee woman known for her appearance on the Bravo reality series “Thicker Than Water”, was arrested on Saturday and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and theft following an altercation at a Walmart Supercenter in Antioch, a suburb of Nashville.
The Incident at Walmart
According to an arrest affidavit reviewed by Law&Crime, the assault occurred on Friday at the store’s self-checkout area, where Tankard allegedly attacked another woman.
The victim’s grandmother, who witnessed the incident, told police that Tankard used a “sock filled with rocks” as a weapon, striking the victim on her forehead and causing a visible laceration above her left eye. The victim was later taken to the hospital for stitches.
After the attack, Tankard allegedly stole the woman’s iPhone, valued at $1,500, and her Louis Vuitton handbag, worth $900. Surveillance video footage from the store showed Tankard collecting the stolen items from the ground before fleeing the scene.
Police Investigation and Arrest
Metro Nashville Police responded to the Walmart after the assault was reported. They reviewed the store’s surveillance video, which helped identify Tankard. The footage showed her taking the items and then running from the store.
Police later arrested Tankard, who was out on bond shortly after her arrest, with a $25,000 bond posted on the same day.
Tankard’s Background and Court Date
Tankard is known for appearing on Bravo’s “Thicker Than Water” during her childhood, a reality show that followed the lives of the Tankard family. She is now facing charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and theft for the incident at Walmart.
Her next court date is scheduled for August 22, where she will face the legal consequences of her actions.
